History of Musashiseki

Musashi-Seki was called ``Seki-machi'' during the Edo period.

It is said that the name "Sekimachi" came from the fact that there was a checkpoint for Shakujii Castle.

Seibu Railway's Musashiseki Station opened in 1928.

With the opening of the railway, the number of residential areas gradually increased, culminating in today's Musashiseki.
