History of Takadanobaba
Takadanobaba is now a well-established student town, but in the past it was an area where many samurai warriors devoted themselves to equestrian training.
As a remnant of this tradition, the Takadanobaba Yabusame event is held every year at Toyama Park.
With the opening of the Yamanote Line in 1910, the area gradually became established as a residential area.
Currently, many students from nearby Waseda University and people who commute to the city center live here.
