History of Hanzomon
There used to be a gate in the area of Hanzomon that was guarded by Hattori Hanzo, a vassal of the Tokugawa family.
There are various theories about the origin of the place name Hanzomon, but one theory is that it comes from the name of Hattori Hanzo.
