History of Nakai

Nakai Station opened in 1927.

Initially, it was a station only for the Seibu-Shinjuku Line, but with the opening of the Toei Oedo Line in 1997, it became a transfer station.

In 2012, the "Nakai Station Area Development Plan" was formulated, and development of the surrounding area began.

Progress is being made to create a city that is easy for residents to live in, such as improving the station plaza and opening a north-south passageway through the station.
