History of Takenotsuka

Many ancient tombs have been excavated in the Takenotsuka area.

It is said that the place name ``Takenotsuka'' was derived from the appearance of bamboo growing on top of the ancient tomb.

The station opened in 1900.

As transportation to the city center became available, many people began to move here.

Additionally, due to heavy traffic, the level crossing in front of the station has remained closed for many years, but the work to resolve this issue is scheduled to be completed in April 2022.
