History of Omori

The Omori area has been a place where people have lived since ancient times, as evidenced by the discovery of the Omori Shell Midden.

After the war, it developed as an industrial area, and is also known for the construction of the Asahi Beer factory in 1962 (currently relocated to Kanagawa Prefecture).

A redevelopment plan is currently underway, and the city is expected to develop into an even more livable city in the future.
