History of Nogata

Nogata is currently included in Nakano Ward, but originally there was a village called Nogata Village.

With the expansion of Tokyo City in 1930, Nogata Village and Nakano Village were merged and Nakano Ward was born.

However, during the Pacific War, more than half of Nakano Ward was bombed, and the population plummeted.

After the war, reconstruction progressed little by little, and today it is developing as a commuter town adjacent to the city center.
