History of Higashijujo


Higashijujo was originally located in Urawa Prefecture (now Saitama Prefecture), but was incorporated into Tokyo Prefecture in 1871.

The station opened in 1931.

The station name was originally "Shimojujo Station," but it was later renamed to "Higashijujo Station."

In addition, in 2020, smart platform doors were introduced inside the station, and the station is being renovated little by little.
