History of Nakano Sakagami


The origin of the place name ``Nakano Sakaue'' is simple; it was named because it is located on top of a slope called ``Nakano Saka''.

The station opened in 1961, and was originally serviced only by the Eidan Subway (now Tokyo Metro).

Later, in 1997, Toei Subway Line 12 (currently Toei Oedo Line) opened, and it became a transfer station.
