Senzoku Pond, located right next to the station, is used as the name of the station.

The station has been expanded and renovated twice so far, in 1934 and 2005.

In 2020, new initiatives related to urban development will begin.

Although there are no major redevelopment plans planned, the city will become even more livable in the future.
